Canoe

I'm going to build a canoe to navigate the waters I once thought were untouchable without boat or a swimmers skill. This will take me some time. I just wanted to let you all know that I have not left this blog to rot, I just have not had any time to update. I will keep you informed on my progress. Until next time, see ya.

The Pen Collecting Sailor

I was lying under a tree by the river when a boat pulled up to the dock. The captain opened the cabin door and emerged from the interior of his vessel. I recognized him at once. He was the same sailor that had docked and invited me aboard some months ago.
He wore a torn and faded cap baring a strange symbol I had never seen before. He gave a hearty laugh when he saw me and motioned for me to climb aboard. I did so and he invited me into the cabin for a glass of tea. I obliged and we were soon seated at a scrubbed wooden table, rocking back and forth with the motion of the boat.
He showed me the many pens that lined the walls of the cabin, and told me of how he had traveled the far reaches of thought to collect each and every pen, and how he was on a mission to find the perfect pen. We continued to chat until the sun sank beneath the clouds and he left port to continue his search for the pen of his dreams.

From the mind of a young thinker

The mind is a wonderful thing. It allows you to roam free, to delve into unknown realms that would otherwise be unreadable. One can dance among the clouds or swim in the deepest ocean. The mind holds incredible power, but it can only be released if the person chooses to release it.
I have chosen to release it, and as a result, My World is thriving and growing like never before.
The library room has opened new doors of possibility. Dormant and dusty shelves and books have been cleaned and set free from their wrongful neglect.
The sun in the sky burns bright, radiating the warmth of peace and hope throughout all of My World. It never rains. When the rains did come, it was a sign of weakness, of sorrow and sadness, an ill effect of the things that weighed heavy on my heart. Those things have lifted and yet I need still be on my guard. I show caution at the water's edge, lest the Nuzzard nestle deep within the confines of my mind, and is capable of physically scooping me up from the sands of the bank. My woes of the Nuzzard have however been set aside for now, due to the fact that all is well and all shall be well, from now to the days to come.

Woes & Wonders

I spent half the night last night worrying and wondering if I might be in danger from an outside predator, such as the mysterious Budge Nuzzard.
I scorned and scoured, searching every inch of my library, hoping that I just might find a clue as to anything odd happening in the history of the "neither realm." Yes, there is a name to the strange universe of the human brain. But, Alas, my searches all come up empty.
I was also hoping that I might learn something new about the Nuzzard, but again to no avail. Only one saying from a distant wise man keeps swimming into the vision of my thoughts,
"Guard your world well, lest the Nuzzard nustle deep within."
I catch myself wondering if the Nuzzard can make it to My world, when and how will he attack, if it is even remotely possible. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Other Worlds?

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long wait but I've been so busy with other things, I couldn't find the time to update. For those of you who know, I've been busy working on a prequel to my Jack Taylor series. For those of you who didn't, now you do.
I have finished the writing on #3 The Neomaden War, and am hoping to have the prequel finished sometime in June, and #4 finished sometime in July. Just thought I'd let you know. Now, moving on to the subject of My World, all is calm and well. A wise man once said for me to guard my world well. I have been doing just that, putting up barriers and fences all around the walls that hold the vast knowledge of My World. I have however, left one spot open and foolishly unprotected. The waters edge at the end of the new path. I will take short breaks from the outside world to sit on the bank and watch the water and it's inhabiting ships. On one such day, a rather large ship with billowing sails stopped near me. The captain rose from his cabin and invited me aboard. Once on the ship, he told me all about how he had sailed far and wide to meet me. He did not tell me how he had heard of me but I did not ask. Sometime later, he docked the ship and allowed me to step up onto dry land again. This was about two months ago and since then, I have not seen the captain or his ship. He had said that he had come from far and wide to find me. Does this mean that there are other worlds beyond the scopes of My World and the land that holds the legendary Budge Nuzzard I have heard of? If there is such an evil thing as a Nuzzard, is it possible for our paths to cross? Only time can tell. I will write more when I can so as to keep you up to date as things occur.
until next time, stay well and happy Easter.

The Path, Lake, and A Dozen Ships

Sorry, but I changed my mind about filling up The Novel Nook with my six books. Instead, I will fill it up with new stories that I will type as I write.
For any of you that are wondering, My World is at peace again. I don't know what happened but it seemed to have cleared up! As for the door of darkest secrets, it remains closed. I still spend time in all the rooms of
My World. A vast new path has been cut from the woods and I now spend time exploring this new additional space. A lake has been created, and now ships and other vessels roam free, doing as they wish. There is a dock at the water's edge and I walk across it, hoping to get the chance the climb aboard a passing ship and learn as to why they are all suddenly here.
